Update on the Changes to This Blog

It's done!  I've moved all the conlang material to my new blog -- http://remembrancer.conlang.org -- and renamed this current blog for its new use (the URL will remain the same).  I mean to experiment some more with the template, but essentially it's ready.

And what is this mysterious new use? Well, actually, it's not so mysterious!  After I publish "The Termite Queen: Volume Two: The Wound That Has No Healing," I'll be ready to start working on publishing my trilogy, "The Labors of Ki'shto'ba Huge-Head." I plan to devote this blog entirely to that series, because  I consider those three volumes to be the best thing I've ever written.  They still need some work, but the first volume is almost ready for print (oh, yes -- and ebook, too, although as usual that's going to cause some problems and require some serious editing.)  And just for the record, I intend to make it a tetralogy, although the fourth volume isn't written yet.

At right is my proposed cover for the first volume.  It's called "Ki'shto'ba Stands Guard."  (Click on it for a larger view.) I'll do some editing -- downsize it to fit the 8.5 x 5.5 cover size, reproportion the Warrior at lower left, and maybe change the typeface to something bolder and larger, but essentially it's ready.  I actually have drawings that I can adapt for all three books, so that will spare me the need to make covers from scratch as I'm having to do with TQ, vol. 2.

There will also be maps in those books!  Personally, I'm a sucker for a book with an imaginary map because imaginary worlds are my favorite thing!

That's all I'll say for now.  But I think the people who are beginning to like my work will be quite pleasantly surprised!
